Others do better when it’s just them and the barbell, no distractions. And then there are those who want a coach with them every step of the way, laying out the plan and keeping them on track.
At Primitive x Swole AF, we’ve built a space that offers all three: group training, personal training, and 24/7 private gym access. The goal isn’t to convince you one way is better — it’s to help you find what works for you. Here’s a breakdown to help guide that decision.
Group Training: For Energy, Accountability, and That Extra Push
This is where a lot of people start — and stay — because it’s built around community. If you need something structured and consistent, but also crave a little extra energy to keep you going, group training might be your sweet spot.
Our group classes are run at our Group Gym, with:
A 30-foot turf strip, squat racks, benches, sleds, rowers, free weights, and more
Certified coaches who lead every session and adjust for your level
Classes at 5:00, 6:00, and 9:00 AM, plus 3:30, 4:30, 6:00, and 7:00 PM
Some days focus on strength, others on conditioning or HYROX-style training. What doesn’t change is the energy — it’s loud, sweaty, and supportive. If you show up, we’ve got you.

Anyone who needs outside accountability
New gym-goers who want coaching without the pressure of 1-on-1
Personal Training: For Structure, Support, and Personalized Progress
If you’re just getting started, recovering from injury, or working toward a specific goal, personal training can give you exactly what you need — and nothing you don’t.
Our personal trainers operate out of the Private Gym. Some are part of our Primitive team, others are independent but share the same mission: real growth. They build your plan from scratch and adjust along the way. You’ll get:
One-on-one sessions built around your goals
Customized programming and nutrition support
Access to our equipment, recovery tools, and quiet space
Best for:
Beginners who want to build confidence and habits
Athletes with performance goals
Anyone who needs a personalized pace or plan

Private Gym: For Flexibility and Focus
Some people don’t want a class or a coach, they just want access. Our Private Gym is perfect for those who already feel comfortable training on their own, or who need a space that works around their schedule.
The gym includes:
Cable machines, free weights, squat racks
Infrared sauna, cryotherapy, massage rooms, and showers
24/7 access with a digital key on your phone
Even though it’s a solo space, it still feels like part of the Primitive family. You’ll get to know other regulars, but there’s no pressure to engage. You do your thing, your way.
Best for:
People who want full freedom to train anytime
Independent lifters with their own routine
Shift workers or parents with unpredictable schedules
Mixing It Up: You Don't Just Have to Pick One
The beauty of our setup is that you’re not locked into one way of training. Some members cross-train by hitting group classes a few times a week, using the private gym when they want solo time, and checking in with a coach for personal training as needed. It’s not about choosing one forever, it’s about finding what works right now and adjusting when life or goals change.
This mix also helps ease people into new training styles:
