Who qualified for Hyrox Elite 15 Stockholm?
The 51-Minute Barrier: Can anyone beat Rončević in Stockholm?
With the biggest Hyrox Competition of the year, the 2026 PUMA HYROX World Championships in Stockholm is only weeks away (June 18–21). With the field is the fastest it has ever been. The barrier for "Elite" has officially shifted from sub-54 to sub-52 following the historic Warsaw Major.
Pro Prediction: Stockholm 2026 Podium

1. Alexander Rončević (The Heavy Favorite)
With his World Record of 51:59 in Warsaw, achieving a 3:29 Wall Ball split. With momentum on his side after reclaiming the World Record from Hidde Weersma just days after losing it. His chances are soaring, and only monumental mistakes will slow him down.

2. Dylan Scott (The Silent Assassin)
Dylan Scott has become the most consistent podium threat in the sport. His 52:40 in Warsaw proved he can run with the Europeans on their home turf. While Hunter McIntyre provides the "hype," Scott provides the results. He is the safest bet for the second spot, though Hidde Weersma is a massive threat.

3. Hidde Weersma (The Contender)
Hidde Weersma was the first to break sub 53 in London 2026, but the field has adjusted with Dylan Scott (also sub 53) and Alexandar Roncevic (now sub 52). We expect Hidde to put on an exceptional performance.

4. Tim Wenisch (The Championship Specialist)
While Rončević owns the world record, Wenisch owns the race. As the 2025 World Champion, he knows how to handle the pressure of the Elite 15 starting grid. He recently teamed up with Rončević to set the Doubles World Record (47:41), proving his fitness is exactly where it needs to be. Expect him to stay on Rončević’s heels throughout the race.
Dark Horse Mention: Sebastian Ifversen. His Burpee Broad Jump speed in Warsaw was terrifying. If he can shave 15 seconds off his Sled Pull, he could disrupt the entire podium.

What is the PUMA HYROX World Championships in Stockholm?
It’s the biggest HYROX event of the season, bringing together the top qualifying athletes from around the world to compete for world titles. HYROX describes it as the pinnacle of the season and frames Stockholm as the host city for the flagship championship.

Venue
The event will be hosted at Strawberry Arena in Solna, just north of central Stockholm. Stockholm is being positioned as the first HYROX World Championships in that city
For Elite 15 Qualification
Qualification is separate and invitation-based, with spots earned through Major and Regional results.
New Points Based System Explained:
*important note major changes to the upcoming 2026-2027 season
effective July 1, 2026, HYROX is replacing single-race qualification with a new points-based, percentile-driven framework for Elite racing — athletes will be ranked relative to the field, top-tier events will carry more points, and Elite 15 Doubles pairs will need to share nationality from the 26/27 season onward.
How Can I Become an Elite 15 in Hyrox
Step 1 - Get your Hyrox Athlete License
Anyone can apply for an Athlete License, even though it's not required for general participation, it is intended for those who aspire to qualify and compete in the Elite 15 race series.
Step 2 - Understand the updated points system (effective July 1,2026)
Auto-qualification is retired – performance across multiple races now matters
Points-based, percentile-driven system – athletes are ranked relative to the field, not just
finishing positionStronger races count more – top-tier events carry more points
Consistency over one-off races – an athlete’s best races define overall ranking
Elite-15 doubles will from the 26/27 season onwards need to be the same nationality to compete together

How Qualification Works
Athletes earn points in approved Elite-level events, with rankings based on a rolling
365-day windowSingles: Best 5 results count
Doubles: Best 3 results count
Tie-breakers: Equal points are resolved by strength of field comparison across the qualifying races for each athlete

Points by race tier:
Standard Pro: 105 points
Regional Elite 15: 108 points
Major Elite 15: 110 points
Elite 15 World Championship: 115 points.
You only earn points if you finish close enough to the winner.
Using a Standard Pro race as an example: 2nd must finish within 10% of the winner's time, 3rd within 12.5%, 4th within 15%.
Standard Pro points extend to 8th place, Regional Elite to 12th, and Majors/Worlds to 15th. Outside those percentages? Zero points.
Step 3 - Race Strategically Across the Season
For Elite Singles, your best five races within a rolling 365-day window count toward your total score. Athletes who want to qualify will likely need to race six to seven times per season to secure five strong results, consistency now matters more than chasing a single perfect race.

Step 4 - If going Doubles, plan your partner carefully
For Elite Doubles qualification, HYROX looks at the best three races within a rolling 365-day period. Elite Doubles partners must share the same nationality as defined by passport, any athlete with dual nationality earns points as the first nationality they compete under.
Step 5 - Aim to rank inside the Elite 15
Qualification is ranking-based and points-driven. There is no single qualifying race, no discretionary selection, and no wildcard entry. You need to be inside the top 15 on the global leaderboard when qualification windows close.
Step 6 - Use Strength of Field as a tiebreaker awareness tool
If athletes are tied on points, HYROX applies a Strength of Field tiebreaker - calculated by summing the qualification points of all licensed starters in each race you counted. If your best results came from deeper, more competitive fields, you rank higher. Practically, this means racing at bigger, more competitive events is worth the risk even if the percentile cutoff is harder to hit.
Step 7 - Qualify for the World Championships via Major finishes
Top 3 podium finishers at each Major Event qualify directly for the Elite 15 Singles or Pro Doubles World Championship.
